WILLIAM W. JETER
William "Bill" Jeter joined his father, Norman, and brother, Joe, in the practice of law in 1975. Bill has a wide-ranging civil practice. He has served as County Counselor for Ellis County, Kansas, since 1986, as well as general counsel for several area school districts, including USD 489 based in Hays.
In addition to his work as County Counselor, Bill is a former Ellis County Attorney with extensive experience in government law. He also practices in the areas of business and corporate law; oil and gas; real estate; employment law; estate planning and probate.
Bill has been a guest lecturer for the Kansas Association of School Boards and has presented at numerous employment law and estate planning seminars. He graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law, and has practiced in Hays since being admitted to the Kansas Bar upon graduation. An active participant in the legal community, Bill is a member of the Kansas Bar Association, is a past president of the Ellis County Bar Association and past president of the Kansas County Counselors Association.
Bill and his wife, Nancy, are home in Hays and enjoy their four children and eleven grandchildren.
